Cubs

Cub Scouts are aged 8 to 10. They are tremendously active and enthusiastic and always ready to try new things. In the Pack they will start to learn Scouting skills and how to be more independent. They will do cooking, crafts, songs, sketches and a host of other things. Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, and of course, go camping with the rest of the Pack and take part in all kinds of outdoor activities.

A Pack of Cub Scouts is organized into Sixes, with a Sixer and a Seconder in charge. This can be a first opportunity for young people to exercise leadership.

Promise, Law and Motto

The Cub Scout Promise:

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law.

The Cub Scout Law:

Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day.

The Cub Scout Motto:

Be Prepared

There is a range of badges available which Cub Scouts can wear on their uniforms (dark green sweatshirts) to show everyone how well they're doing.
